Fossil Tours at Nyanda Station

Azure Nature Tours is developing a hands-on fossil experience on Nyanda Station, our private working cattle property at the gateway to Carnarvon Gorge in Central Queensland. Search the rock for fossils far older than the dinosaurs, from Permian shells and Glossopteris leaves to the world left behind by the Great Dying, the greatest extinction in Earth's history.

This new tour builds on the deep-time story already told on our Deep History page, and on Nyanda's remarkable fossil record, including several official type sections used by scientists to define entire rock formations.
